Personal Mail Archiver is a private, single-user application used by its owner to back up the owner's own Gmail mailbox to the owner's own hardware. This policy describes exactly what it does with data, and it is deliberately short because the application does very little.
The application reads the mailbox of the Google account that authorizes it: Gmail messages, message metadata (labels, dates, threads) and attachments, using Google's Gmail API. It requests only the scopes the owner approves on the Google consent screen. It does not read any other Google service, and it cannot access any other person's data.
Solely to create and maintain an incremental local backup of that mailbox, so the owner has an offline copy of their own mail.
Backups are written to storage owned and operated by the account owner (a private home NAS on a private network). Backup files are kept under the owner's control and are never uploaded to any third-party service, cloud platform, or server operated by anyone else.
None. Data is not sold, rented, shared, disclosed, or transferred to any third party. There is no advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and no telemetry of any kind.
Backup data is retained on the owner's hardware for as long as the owner chooses to keep it. The owner can delete any part of it at any time, since it consists only of ordinary files.
Authorization can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately ends all access by the application. The locally stored backup is unaffected and remains under the owner's control.
